Michigan laws for selling live poultry??

I've found laws for eggs and meat, but I can't find anything about selling live birds. Does anyone know these laws or where I can find them? I'd imagine there's some sort of regulation of selling live chickens/chicks.

    Meat chicks and egg chicks

It's not really a goal, that's just what I read was the age for meat chickens. Is there any breeds of meat chickens that you think could be raised with laying chickens? I only want to do it for the first time when I can get them all at the same age. After that if I get more meat chickens...

    Meat chicks and egg chicks

I don't have a particular breed of meat chicken in mind, there is a local farm breeder near me and I was planning on getting what they recommend. I'm only getting 10-15 chicks total with maybe 3-4 meat chicks and don't plan on keeping the meat chickens past 8-10 weeks. Would he issue of meat...

    Meat chicks and egg chicks

So in a few weeks I'll be getting my first chicks. along with my layers I wanted to try raising a few meat chickens too. I've been reading that meat chickens and egg chickens need different types of starter feed, I was wondering how vital this is, I don't really have the space to keep them...

    Double layer chicken wire?

I have some extra that I used about 2 years ago, it's been sitting outside the whole time with no protection and I haven't seen any signs of rust. I'll just have to get more instead of the chicken wire.

    Double layer chicken wire?

I know hardware mesh is usually recommended, but I came across some really cheap chicken wire. Do you think it would be safe if I did a double layer of it?

how would YOU turn this into a coop

Possibly, but by time I move it will be a bit late to start a garden. I don't know anything about composting either.

What would you do with the bedding then? I do have 15 acres.

how would YOU turn this into a coop

Shouldn't be too difficult to sweep into a garbage bag.

how would YOU turn this into a coop

That was my original idea, to use the slide part as a coop and the swing part as a run, but i feel it would be too small that way. If I put the coop on top and run on bottom, there would be a lot more room.

    Stealth Coop Plans

Why risk keeping illegal animals? If you get caught they will get confiscated and killed, not to mention the major fines you will probably get. Why not just wait until you can live in an area where chickens are allowed?

how would YOU turn this into a coop

It would be pretty difficult to change the shape, I'd pretty much have to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch. I don't really think it would be difficult to clean if the whole long side opens up, the 2nd floor will only be 3 feet off the ground. I think it would be pretty easy just...

how would YOU turn this into a coop

If my guestimations are correct, my roost will have about 25 square feet of floor space, and the run will be about 50', plus they will be free ranging whenever possible. I am only planning on 4-5 chickens so I'm pretty sure that will be plenty of space. I read over the ventilation article and...
