Loved all living non-human things since I was a toddler. Wasn't allowed many pets as a kid (but snuck a few in every chance I got) so when I became an adult I went nuts with animals of ALL kinds. Yes, even monkeys, several parrots, snakes, chinchillas, ferrets, ducks, goats (nope, not a farm, just cooperative neighbors), mini-horses, a pond, chameleons, hamsters, seahorses, .... the list goes on and on. Always have at least 3 dogs since I foster and rescue. Semi-retired now and all I want to do is surround myself with living things (only SOME humans!) :)

Why do you want to join our community?
In the process of leveling the land to assemble the large coop and run we purchased. Will be getting chicks as soon as I'm certain the outdoor enclosure is secure and predator proof, and toying with the idea of gettng young chicks to brood in the spare bedroom until they are fully feathered.
Occupation
Semi-retired, work part time from home and volunteer at the dog shelter several days a week. Oh, and being a Grandma! :)
