Need to figure out how they were able to make this type of feeder. Currently, I have a 55 Gal gravity feeder with 90 degree PVC elbows cut in at the bottom. Does anyone know? The 5 Gal bucket would be great for a brooder.

That would depend on what type of chickens you want. Ornamental, meat or eggs.. I would go with a Red Sex Link for brown eggs and a leghorn for white eggs. I can't give a recommendation for an ornamental or meat birds.
I've been researching for auto time/door but so far I haven't seen one that is decent in price and quality. Although an e-door might be over kill with a electric fence around the coop and run.
So far the only predators are the neighbor's dogs. They killed 6 of my leghorns about four months ago. I seen one racoon but havent seen it since. Other than that, I haven't really had any issues. The chickens goes inside on their own when it gets dark. The next project would be to install an...
