    Strange looking (blue/grayish) bird - any idea?? lol *Updated Photos*

    He turned out to be a boy, and i'm pretty sure he's an "Easter Egger" rooster! :) (he's the ONLY chick that I have left from last year) Update: This is "Silver" - turned out to be a pretty boy. =) Here he is again, standing behind "Bettie".. A Langshan hen he recently bonded with. :)

    Rooster with a full beard lol

    Thought i'd share a couple photos of "Silver", my young Easter Egger rooster.. Gotta love his full beard! lol Silver standing behind his hen, Bettie :) Anyone else have any bearded roos to share? :)

    Ok, if they lay white eggs then they have white ear lobes? I think hers are red, so that must rule out California Gray.. Hmm, I just don't know. lol

    What color egg does a California Gray lay? I found a cream tinted, long, slender egg today! lol Top, right... And, i'm not sure who laid the odd egg! lol My Buff Orpington and Rhode Island Red girls lay the medium/dark eggs, like the 2 to the left. My Minorca is my only white egg layer...

    I agree that she looks a lot like a California Gray.. Except that comb! lol They appear to have a smaller comb that her, from what I have seen?

    That's one breed I hadn't considered! She could be a California Gray. The tail/body shape is very close. I had thought of a Dominique, and a Cuckoo Marans.. California Gray could be it, assuming she isn't just a mix of breeds of course - I really don't know. lol

    Thanks everyone :) No, I didn't get her from a hatchery. I got her from a lady a few towns over. She had gotten her at an animal swap in the Fall, to keep her Silkie rooster company until her Silkies chicks were big enough to let run with him. She said she picked her because she was the smallest...

    Wow! Wish I lived closer! Both are pretty, but I *love* the first one! Gorgeous!!!
