    Who is the egg robber?

    Sounds like rats may be your culprit. Just had them raid a turkey nest one day before hatch. They can move the eggs or sometimes cut a hole in side of egg and drain it , leaving an empty shell

    Shell damage while hatching

    Rats invaded turkey nest on day 27 Salvaged 1 but shell was damaged and 1/3 of outer membrane was exposed. Put him in incubatorand swabbed with bacitracin and wrapped in wet paper towels He is pipped. and has 1/2 inch of hole started. But I wonder if the commotion got him malpositioned...

    LG for Christmas

    Received LG as a gift. Would like some advice on hatching turkeys. Temp,humidity,turning, egg position. Is the Brinsea still the best pick for thermometer ? Would like to be ready for hatching in May/June so there's time to prepare.
