They got me y'all, there were only a few bantams left and one was a frizzle that was already starting to frizzle. An angry pinecone is on my list of wants for this year so what else was I to do but get 4 chicken babes.
So that being said, with it being an assorted bantam bin from tractor supply...
Lol I just came across this post that fit my situation and attempted to ask the original poster if they happened to remember what they ended up being. If I cared that much I’d make my own post like Ive done in the past. I was just curious. I should have investigated their entire profile to see...
Any update to what they ended up being? I have a trio of black silkies and a splash that look so similar and about the same age yours were and they still have me guessing.
OH! That is SUPER interesting!! Okay may I also ask then, what color egg would a female produce? Would it be blue or a blue/green or would it be silkie cream colored?
Thank you so much!
May I ask what they ended up looking like? and what color egg they ended up laying (if they even have yet) I'm curious since we have a legbar hen and I think a silkie who is looking more roo everyday. I thought this would be just a fun little backyard mix but I can't find lots of examples...
Absolutely. The brown egg just added(?) to my questioning of their breed. Although the EE (Gouda) could just be a brown egg layer and we gained no extra knowledge about Macaroni.
UPDATE! We have our first egg from one of the new goils and it’s a lovely brown egg. I don’t know who laid it but tada!
Edit: to update we think Gouda laid this.
