Free Black Lavender Split Orpington. Mom was a black English orp..Dad was a lavender orp. If you take the roo I can include a lavender hen for $20. Born in July of this year. Located in Hood River but can meet.

My babies are no longer babies. I bought some lavender orphington hatching eggs and my silkie hen hatched them. I ended up with 3 lavender pullets and a black lavender split 1/2 english roo. They've now outgrown their silkie mom.

They are so pretty! Love all the fluffy feathers :)

Babies hatched yesterday! A day early :) with my broody silkie momma..she hatched 3 lavender orpingtons and 1 black lavender split. Momma hen is doing awesome.

My 4 eggs are starting to hatch! I can hear the chicks peeping inside. It's time for bed but it's hard to sleep. Part of me wants to stay up and wait. Wish it was the weekend still. My broody girl has done such a good job... Oh chickens, I love them :) I hope they all make it

These are my new babies. Just got them yesterday. My first Orpington pullets. I went into the pen tonight to hold them and one jumped up on my shoulder and lay down snuggling into my neck. They are so funny. Love them! I have 4 lavenders being hatched by my Silkie hen so crossing my fingers...

What happens when you breed lavenders with blues? Do you end up with lavender split blues? Or do they end up being a split with blue and black chicks? I haven't been able to find threads on this and I'm curious. Thanks!

My black Silkie hen is sitting on 4 lavender orpington eggs. This is the first time I've ever tried hatching eggs and I figured out how to candle the eggs with my cell phone last night. I could see the baby chicks moving! Chicks should be here the 17th. I hope they all hatch :)

Did you find a home for your rooster? I might know some people in the Hood River area that could take him.

We added 2 new polish pullets and they all love each other. Maddie has given us 3 eggs in 4 days so far! My only problem is my DH said 2 chickens and now I have 6 :)

My 3 month old polish girl cannot close her beak. Poor girl does not seem healthy when I compare her to my other polish the same age. When she eats her food and water gets all over her beak,crest, and chest. Her beak lines up and touches at the tip but is stuck open in the center. I was thinking...
