Hatched overnight but so devastated it went head first down edge of incubator and out of everywhere to go it did it at inch wide water channel and drowned. So angry I didn't stay and watch it hatch to make sure it was ok and I removed the tissue from the edge as last chick pooped on it and...

So just damp any membrane showing to keep it moist? Trying to keep humidity high but only managing 67%

Had an egg pop lunchtime nothing happened since. Chick alive as candles to check and moving around area which is pipped and is in the air sac. Any advice please

Was worried about being too hot but checked and range for 39 to 34 degrees :-)

I have had an early arrival and so the electric is not quite up the the shed for the chicks proper raising pen so I can have the heat lamp up there I have just made this will it do for a few days till it is sorted??

Here are some of my eggs I have candled can you help me work out what's going on all are within week or so of hatch. There are two eggs top and bottom and one I am certain is a duff xx

Will either be pure Peking or a Peking silkie cross. Looking at feet look very fluffy so guessing Peking possibly a lavender but new to all this lol

Will do. :-) I have dated them all and then move them into the hatching incubator at 18 days :-)
