    OMG I got a pip! I hear some peeping too! How long does it take them to come out? I am nervous! What if the others haven't come out? When do I take the hatched ones out of the bator?

    Hatch Day

    Today is Day 19 for my 14 BCM eggs. My bator is on the "Older" side so I have to open the lid to add water if humidity drops. Is this ok at day 19? I really am trying to do everything perfect so that all 14 will hatch. Just very nervous I guess!

    Humidity for Black Copper Marans

    What is the best humidity level for hatching the FBCM for Southern California? It is not humid but we are not completely dry either. I have started them in the incubator at between 30-40 degrees for day 1-18. Sound right? Any advice????

    Well I bought a Hygromometer at the Tobacco Leaf $19.99 and my readings are right at 80 degrees. Temp is 100 degrees. I am soo nervous! The book says turn at least 5 times but I read that the automatic turners turn every hour. Will it be ok if I only do it 5 times? Set to hatch on May 28, 2011.
