    Bummer!! Thank you for your help, I’m brand new to chickens so it’s nice having backyardchickens as a resource. He was the smallest chick in the batch of lavender orpingtons so I thought for sure it would be a hen, but rookie move I guess 😄 I’ll wait to give him away until he starts crowing...

    I’m worried my 12 week Lavender Orpington is a roo, any guesses? No crowing yet. I will have to get rid of it if it’s a boy since I can’t have roosters in my city, so I’m really hoping It’s a girl 🤞🏼

    I should also mention, the Speckled Sussex was about 2 weeks old when we got her so she’s more like 9 weeks. The others are 7 weeks!
