    Frizzled Cochin sexing

Yeah I was like I suck at sexing Cochins especially my bantams so I don’t count pullets before I’m 100% sure which is often when combs get super pronounced or red or crowing or egg laying lol! if that marans comb is that bright and the others are the same age is safe to say I only have one too...

    Frizzled Cochin sexing

I bred my Millie to a calico roo and it may be too soon to tell sex but a Cochin person said I had a few Roos and I’m looking to get opinions! (Also have this copper maran and he is the only one in that pen who has a bright red comb so I’m assuming he is a roo since the other 11 marans hatched...

    D'uccle color

I recently took a flock of 7 D'uccles in (1 mottled too, 4 black and white mottled hens, 1 solid white, and this girl). What would you consider this color (im not thinking golden neck because she's not orange and white and is looking more blue/grey) this color isn't recognized right?) I have...

    Newly hatched chick won’t stand

we moved him over because the other eggs are beginning to to hatch and are pecking at his head (since he’s a crested breed continued pecking at his head seemed like a good enough reason for us to move him over to our box with the heat lamp and he’s starting to dry off a bit). We have the...

    Newly hatched chick won’t stand

I have hatched a bunch before but have never had one scooting around for 2 days and was a little worried but we are gonna give him time! Someone in my polish group said vitamins in the water could help so we are giving it some vitamin water and have moved him over to the brooder so he has food...

    Newly hatched chick won’t stand

No this is in the brooder box next to it. I know it’s the first to hatch because it’s a completely different color our second one to hatch is black this one is lighter. The humidity had been the same in the incubator for the second one that hatched and is already dry this one hatched a whole day...

    Newly hatched chick won’t stand

We just had a polish chick hatch yesterday and one hatch earlier today the newer chick is walking around fine but the first chick just kinda scoots around the incubator. His legs were kinda stiff this morning but are not loosened up to where they can fully extend he just like drags himself...

How much do you charge for a dozen hatching eggs?

I breed Millie Fleur D’uccles from decent lines that have previously been shown and I have had a decent hatch rate. I currently am out of room in my incubator and get an egg every other day and am trying to figure out pricing for a dozen hatching eggs. What would you say is the right price or...

    Just learned my lesson

She was like you can go ten days without putting them in the incubator do that instead- I’m like girl I’m gonna do what I have been doing because it’s not hurting anyone and works for me 😂 then I get hit with their “best practices” 😂.
