    CHICKEN PEOPLE (esp SW FL!!)..PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS..

    I've never known anyone to practice unsanitary chicken practices (I have seen dog owners doing unfavorable things with their dog's waste though). This is a good reminder for those who are not as responsible. It is sad that a few bag eggs (pun intended) can make 99.9% of chicken owners look bad.

    Am I supposed to wash the eggs?

    A.T. is right, this argument has been going on for some time. Personally I do wash my eggs in warm/hot running water rubbing gently with my (clean) hands and dry before putting in the fridge. As for how long they last, we eat the eggs fairly soon (within 2 weeks) and have never had a problem...
