It has been 100+ here for days and the chickens will spend most of it in shady / wet spots about the yard. However at 5 they all hover around the back door panting , the spoiled little monsters are waiting for their mash and yorgurt treat. Afther that they all are happier and seeming cooler.
Well That will teach me for calling him Bandit ( because of his eye markings ) Will this be a problem if the RIR is also a boy ?

Ok let me see if I did this right ( I am a newbie) I bought them from a member here at the end of Feb. I went to get 2 Easter Egg chicks and had a grand son with me who also wanted one from " the other cage" which I was told is a little rooster.

I was at the feed store and they have a bunch of little chicks. I noted this week a lot of them look like the center of their backs are scabby. Is this from pecking or something else ?
