thanks.we went in and sealed up any cracks on the floor where they can get in. bought traps to catch them . not sure where we can take them once we catch them but... i guess we will see.
i think she sprained it. she is doing much better but still limping. we are having a problem with chipmunks or red squirrels. i wonder if they are trying to steal their eggs at night and hurting my chickens in the process. we saw some stealing grain and the chickens fighting them.

we have a the big winds covered here and have left the door way opened and the back of the car tent also have a nice breeze coming through which we can control. and good ventilation in the coop also. that was one of the things we were told from the beginning. good luck to all for this winter...

this is our coop winterized in quebec canada. this was our car tent we added to the coop to give them more room to run around in winter. we insulated the shed and reinforced it.
we keep them in when the weather is bad, but we have huge worms here and some really love hunting them. i didnt know it was a problem. and we dont always have to put the lights on. we just check on them often to make sure they are ok. i posted up pictures of our coop and how we winterized it if...
