    thanks.we went in and sealed up any cracks on the floor where they can get in. bought traps to catch them . not sure where we can take them once we catch them but... i guess we will see.

    i think she sprained it. she is doing much better but still limping. we are having a problem with chipmunks or red squirrels. i wonder if they are trying to steal their eggs at night and hurting my chickens in the process. we saw some stealing grain and the chickens fighting them.

    we have a the big winds covered here and have left the door way opened and the back of the car tent also have a nice breeze coming through which we can control. and good ventilation in the coop also. that was one of the things we were told from the beginning. good luck to all for this winter...

    this is our coop winterized in quebec canada. this was our car tent we added to the coop to give them more room to run around in winter. we insulated the shed and reinforced it.

    my pets are more like our extra children so I think thats the biggest problem. We are always going to check how cold it is at night. colin even gets up and goes and turns on the lights for a bit to warm them up. we will have to stop that. I am wondering, we have a lot of rain right now then cold...

    karen, from what i looked up online it say maybe a allergy or infection. if you take a picture of her and post it up maybe someone on here can help. i know infections spread and maybe seperate her for now. i do know that my sneezing chicken is doing much better but i now have like 6 others...

    i am going to go out in an hour or so to clean out the poop, i always wait until they are done laying, then i am gonna check her out again. i really hope that it clears up... we have 19 chickens and a rooster...i dont want it to be something bad that spreads.

    we have been getting them ready for winter, and got some shavings from the local saw mill. i think they are mixed with whatever wood they are cutting. does it make a diffrence? we just wanted their feet to be dry and warm when the snow comes here. are there certain things i should be watching for?
