Successful hatch with saddlebag air cells?
I have 30 eggs due to hatch this weekend all were shipped. 10 or so have saddlebag air cells. Several dip very low into the egg. I know this happens from rough handling during shipping. I have hatched a ton of eggs in my life but these saddlebags are severe. My question is: Has anyone had...- tail_feather

Yes it is sand. It is extremely easy to clean. I also mix in a little DE as well. Best thing I ever did. Good luck!- tail_feather

Thanks for the suggestions I always welcome input. I built this three years ago and is actually about my tenth one to do. The windows are perfect because they are lower than the roost at night and it stays about 12 to 15 degrees lower inside during the summer and in the winter it stays about 15...- tail_feather

Hi Katrina, Hop on YouTube and watch videos of people who have helped theirs out of the shell. It is likely that you will have to help them out of the shell, but there is a delicate window of time that is the right time. That's the tricky part. Good luck! :thumbsup- tail_feather

This is our chicken coop. I stripped the typical "Barn Style" storage shed on a concrete slab down to the studs. I framed in windows, framed in a regular walk-thru door on the front.
