    Which of these breeds would you recommend?

    I have Barred Rocks. They have been hardy so far and are friendly. Even in winter I'm consistently getting eggs.....fewer than the Fall but I'm not complaining.

    Awful photography but I will try again. I bought a straight run of the Barred Rocks. Two have really black heads and the other 7 are lighter. On Monday they will be 4 months old. No one crows or lays eggs yet.

    Thanks for the add! We have a flock of 9, 16 week old Barred Rocks and 8, 10 week old Wyndottes. No one is laying yet and I'm still trying to determine is I have any Roos! I have lots of questions and BYC seems to have lots of answers! Perfect fit for me.
