Very ill chicken. What do I do??

She does seem a little squishy I guess. Thing is, she seems a lot better again and it comes and goes. Last time I treated her for worms, mites, fed ACV and natural yoghurt - she was back to normal after a few days. Fine for 3 or so weeks and then she's bad again. I've left her this time and...

Very ill chicken. What do I do??

Well, she seemed a little perkier yesterday and finally left the coop, today they're in the garden and she's out but not happy and her tail is down. I'm just gonna leave her i think as she's been treated before for many things so whatever it is that's wrong is something I can't cure. Here she is...

Very ill chicken. What do I do??

After a month of being well, she has fallen ill again. Exactly the same as before. I'm not sure whether it is a good idea to bring her in and repeat the previous steps as it is reoccurring and there must be an underlying problem, it's not fair on poor frenchy to keep going through this illness...

Rooster Injured By Dog - Not Sure If I Need To Cull

I would give him a chance, I'd be worrying if he wasn't eating or drinking but maybe he just needs some time, and like the above says - check thoroughly for any wounds

Very ill chicken. What do I do??

Well my bocboc has been outside since Thursday and seems back to normal, little fed up but ill put that down to the freezing weather. They're all huddled in the coop today. I fed them some warm scrambled egg mixed with some natural yoghurt. I think that whatever it was I have cured, it could...

Think it's too cold for your chickens? Think again...

My bocbocs were all huddled in the coop today. It's -7 celcius here and I've given them extra hay. Gave them some warm scrambled egg mixed with natural yoghurt which they wolfed down. Poor things

Same here :) We love our girls as pets and yes the eggs help, but I do have to give eggs away a lot :p How would I know if it is egg peritonitis?

Think it's too cold for your chickens? Think again...

I pondered the idea of something heated but decided against it. Yeah I imagine it could be condensation but also it's is very snowy/icy/frosty outside so could of been from the outside. Took me ages to open it! I had to pour a kettle of boiling water over their water today to unfreeze it...

Think it's too cold for your chickens? Think again...

I live in north east UK, it is currently -7 *C. I have 5 hens and 2 coops, one coop is just an emergency one as sometimes the older 2 won't let one of the young ones in the original coop so she has somewhere to go. The main coop is just wood, it does have a slide I can pull across to provide...

Very ill chicken. What do I do??

Ahh so that is probably about right for my girls. I keep feeling her belly but there is nothing abnormal - she's just so skinny but she's eating. So far she has started worming treatment, she has had anti-mite/tick treatment, has yoghurt and ACV. She was trashing her cage this morning, tipped...

Very ill chicken. What do I do??

All 3 of my older hens stopped laying around the same few months (they're the same age) at just over 3y/o - isn't that normal?
