    I have a Mille Fleur d’Uccle and OEGB and it turns out their offspring are sex linked. I suspected this for a while but now it is absolutely confirmed. White/light chick = cockerel. Brown/dark chick = pullet Hooray!

    I’m guessing he’s a silver Sebright x silver duckwing but what is confusing me is there’s another one that looks exactly like him. Not sure how often that specific pairing makes such similar offspring.

    I have a flock of Sebrights, silver and gold, and OEGBantams (Silver duck wing and BBR). I also bought some chicks this spring from TSC. I’m not sure if this guy came from my broodies or TSC

    I’m glad for this post because one of my cockerels has a swollen eye with absolutely no other symptoms and I am as certain as can be that it was caused by being pecked. I’m picking ip some eye wash and medicated drops in the morning.

    I’m sad to report that my little guy passed away tonight. He had been pale for a while and the past week I noticed him going steadily downhill. I see now that I waited far too long to address whatever was going on with him. He was a lovable chicken and will be missed.
