    Help! EggBound hen!

After we drained her she headed right for the food we had out . It's been a couple days since then and we are going to drain her again tomorrow. She's walking to the same spot everyday to go sit down and not move. It's been in the 100s this week so I'm not sure if she's trying to cool down or what.

    Help! EggBound hen!

Hi! I have a 3 year old Americana hen who has lately been slowing down her egg production. I found her in the coop and picked her up seeing that she has a red bum and poop stuck to the feathers around her vent... I brought her inside and she is currently in a warm sink. She's drinking her tub...

    Lethargic Hen

Hi there! I would first go but some 7-Dust and then cover her all over in it. Mixing through her feathers too. This will kill any mites or lice that are on her. You can find 7-Dust at Homedepot and other hardware stores. See if this helps:) Oh! Clean the coops and any place that they nest. Then...

Help! Young hen with suspicious poo!!!!

I would treat for Coccidia just in case:) It could be just intestinal lining that's shedding- but it's a lot lighter red. Coccidia can be treated by using Corid. This is a picture of Coccidia This is intestinal wall sheddings

Red swelling on front of leg

Try soaking in Epsom salts... I'm looking online but not much. Maybe dislocated tendons? Try stretching the leg back as if the chicken was stretching, and see if it relocates the tendon. I'll keep looking.
