    I will definitely try that in their feed. the coop is a New Age Pet ecoFLEX Fontana Chicken Barn --> The run is pretty big, it used to be a garden but we converted it for the chickens.

    Thank You! My feed is from the farm we got them from. Protein is 16 percent, fat and fiber are both 3 percent each. I do put eggshells (crushed for grit) into their feed occasionally. I don't think that they are too crowded, because they are 4 in a coop for 6, and they stay together at night...
