Our incubator went to 117 degrees!!!!!!! for 20 minutes or less. Long story. It was on day 9. I candled on day 16 thinking I would be discarding ALL of the eggs. Instead I saw good looking embryos. Now, this very day, 4 of them have hatched and 18 more have pipped.
I wouldn't worry too much!
I have LG incubator in use at the moment.... hatching as we "speak".
I kept the humidity at 50-60% during days 1-18 by filling the channels of water and adding two wet sponges (on top of the metal grate)
I raised the humidity to 75-80% by placing a small saucer of water in right before lock...

I picked up 18 eggs from my friends ranch (and I don't even know what kind of chickens she has). I do have pictures of her chickens so perhaps I'll google image and try to figure it out (while I'm just sitting here waiting). Couldn't tell you which chickens...
