If you wanted to limit your risk and find out what the interest is in your area perhaps you could sell plans first. Good ones with photos illustrating hoe to build one. Just a thought. You could contact the Master Gardener group in your area as many of us would like the idea.
I don’t know what color her feet soles are but I will try to find out. It was smaller by almost a third when we first saw her I think two weeks ago. I don’t see any waddles either yet.

I will take a photo or two today and post. Thanks for replying. We are planning on expanding the coop but it also gets to room around my garden free. It enjoys the safety of the coop at night. I would love to know the sex as I hate calling my chicken “it”.
Someone dumped a poor little chicken in my yard. No one is claiming it. We have fallen in love with it. Now my daughter has named it and bought a coop. So we need info to help us as we don’t even know what sex it is. Help!
