    does anybody know how lemon cuckoo is carried in orpingtons?

    So is a lemon cuckoo only a buff with the cuckoo gene or is it also exhibiting silver? Some of my lemon cuckoo pullets do not exhibit barring but are lighter on the body with buff heads. Any explanation for that? Or could dominant white be in my lines? Since the dominant white is what produces...

    Chick hatched out with "strange" down???

    Found this old thread while searching for an answer to why I have a chick with strange down. Its down is shiny gold and not as fluffy, more like hair. The chick acts cold and shakes all the time. Just curious what is going on. It is an Orpington chick.
