Update: the vet called today and said the culture read that she has both E coli and Streptococcus bacteria in her ear. She is looking up the best approach to treat with antibiotics but thinks we will need to use 2 at the same time.
The yawning and head tilt is why I asked about crop and ears. Fish, scrambled eggs, raw eggs, a strawberry or blueberry or even a small piece of a banana are all my flocks favorite foods...see if she responds to any of those to get her appetite going?
She was on 250mg of clavamox for a bit. We may go back to that depending on what the vet comes back with tomorrow. Regardless, I will share in this thread for others who may be dealing with this issue or have it in the future.
And yes, you're right. I am lucky to be able to take her to the vet...
