You can legally kill them if they are killing off your livestock. That goes for nearly any animail -bear, coyote, bobcat, etc.
I had a bear come a few years ago that killed over 20 of my chickens. We called the game commision and they came and took care of the bear and told us that in...
I've been to the Mt. Hope auction. Every Wed. they have a flea market, livestock, and baked goods auction. Poultry and bunnies auction off at 1 pm.
They always have alot of chickens and rabbits. Especially rabbits. Auction prices don't go too high either, so you'll definelty get some good deals.
Thank you for all the replies. Moving the hens up another row worked for one of the two girls. She has hatched 4 chicks over the weekend. However, my other hen was too stuborn to move her nest. She kept going back to the lowest row and laying in her origional box. She is down to two eggs and no...

What do you know! We have exotic cats!
Don't worry about being kept awake at night. No crowing at night. Chickens go to sleep at night too. They'll hold off until dawn to start crowing again.
I've raised turkeys for as long as I've raised chickens and aven't had an problems at all. I've even had to stick chicken eggs under a Royal Palm hen who didn't have any fertile eggs.
Just like the eggs you buy at the grocery store, your hen's eggs are not fertile. Now that she's laying eggs, you won't have to buy any from that darn grocery store.
Almost all of mine lay in the egg boxes. However, I did have a hen go awol for about 3 weeks until my neighbor told me she was laying on some eggs in his fishing boat. She ended up hatching 7 boat babies.
