When one of my chickens was sick and wouldn't eat, I used poultry nutri-drench from tractor supply and it helped keep her alive and her energy up, although her disease was fatal. I might try that or force feeding.

I have always kept the food and water outside of the coop, and at nighttime they put themselves to bed, they like being safe. I doubt that they would stay out of the coop at nighttime, because of the food and water being out there.
