    DIY incubator heating

    Around me they still sell old style bulbs (also used in metal reflective heat lamps) at dollar general. I used the in my DIY monster gator I made and hatched hundred of bird with it. Need to dig it up and clean for this summer/fall use.

    Unretiring from birds.

    Math is funny, we were discussing this and I went 100 straight run RIR , with store meat getting hard to find we'll fill the freezer some. And since we bought from MtHealthy we getting 50 free (DISCOUNT) chicks. So my 10-15 went to 50, then 100 and finally 150..... and I haven't even started...

    After a long g (too long) break we're back in the bird craze. Not completely my fault. I used to be registered as 5 acre rooster, but that was years ago and don't think I even use that email anymore.
