    These are Coturnix quail. I thought hatch was 17-18 days. I thought the 15th day was lockdown, so Saturday the 25 at 8 am? But I am new to this. I have seen some people count the day they put the eggs in as the first day and some people count that as day zero.... I've done only one hatch...

    I am in love with these 12 fluff balls! Enjoying our first hatch ever! We have 2 Pharoah, an Italian, a silver and a lavender I think, plus several tuxedos! Sometimes they sleep all stretched out! Ps. Toilet paper tubes make great tunnels!

    We now have 12 baby quail in a brooder! Thanks for the encouragement! They like old TP tubes for tunnels to run thru or sleep in!

    I saw pips this morning (Thursday, July 9, 2020) and we have 5 hatches now on Thursday evening! More are pipped, so I am sure there will be more!
