    I put a 1x4 across the top of mine, and they love that...they plop their fat butts on it and you can see an overhang of chicken on either side...

    HAHA that's the reaction we wanted... so far it's working wonderfully...they spent all winter hanging outside and did well, so I think they will LOVE this coop... last night a bunch were up on the roost, some in the nesting boxes, and the 6 peeps were all in 1 box together...almost big...

    Yes, on the top of the front entrance, there is a 4" space across that is vented, as well as the overhang on both sides of the roof is vented. right now, there is a large window spot on the back end that has screen in it, soon to be replaced with a window...so far every one of them, even the...

    From what I've seen, they could care less one way or another lol... We gave them an old console radio to climb in, but they just roosted on the decorative back part of the lid...
