    Berries!! Apparently blackberries grow well here so I’m all in this year with those. YUM! Yeah, Deathlayer is certainly ominous sounding! They’re black and white and they look like little vultures as juniors! Ha!

    It’s a fairly rare breed from Germany. Their name is Totleger which translates directly to Deathlayer meaning they lay eggs till death! They’re beautiful birds..

    Hahaha! Well, sometimes I feel older than dirt if that helps? We did the same thing and even put the cart before the horse (or the chicken before the coop in our case)! After living mostly in the city, all across the country, this has been a huge and welcomed change. Best of luck to us both!
