    Sour Crop Help!

Sorry in advance for the long post. I want to provide as much information as possible so that we can get the right help quickly. We have sixteen (one year old) hens. Each one is a completely different breed. Last weekend, we let them out into their huge run as usual. Everyone was happy...

    Coccidiosis Help!

I cannot believe I am having to post questions again on here. Our big girls are now almost 22 weeks old and we got our first egg yesterday. Our little girls are almost 13 weeks old. The big girls live in the big coop and the little girls live in the chicken tractor that is inside the run...

    Lavender Orpington: Roo or Pullet

Updated pictures at just a little over 16 weeks old. Is anyone still thinking pullet? Our 18 week old Buff Orpington does not have the size or color of comb or wattles that this one does, which makes me a little concerned we have a roo. We will keep this one no matter what the gender ends up...

    Speckled Sussex: Roo or Pullet

I think that is what confuses me the most about her. Her feathers are very long, slender, and look a little pointy compared to all of the other breeds we have.

    Speckled Sussex: Roo or Pullet

Just got around to taking updated pictures today. (S)he is a little over 12 weeks old today. Can anyone chime in on the gender? Do both genders have green in their feathers? After I took the pictures and started looking back through them, I realized that s(he) found a...

    Speckled Sussex: Roo or Pullet

I got these pictures the other day. I will try to get some side and tail pictures this weekend. Hints of greenish feathers are coming in everywhere. I feel like the comb and wattles are still very pale and small. These were taken at 11 weeks old.

    Speckled Sussex: Roo or Pullet

Sorry that I am just seeing your post. I will try to take some pictures of her this weekend to post and see what everyone thinks. I am thinking that (s)he is a pullet, but I still have a few doubts.

Silver Laced Wyandotte: Pullet or Roo?

Thank you both!!! We are really hoping she is a pullet. I guess we will know soon enough. Keeping her either way.

Silver Laced Wyandotte: Pullet or Roo?

We posted pictures awhile back of our Silver Laced Wyandotte and it was too early to tell. Now at almost 14 weeks, (s)he is near the top of the pecking order and we have heard no crowing. I am thinking that we have a pullet based on the coloring, but the tail is making me wonder. Any input is...
