    I gave him a clean with a warm rag and put a drop of aquaphor on to hold him off for the night until I can pick up the blu kote tomorrow and put him in his special quarantine area inside the coop that we built when we first introduced him to the flock so the girls won’t be pecking on him...

    central North Carolina! This winter has been crazy and very WET but we haven’t gotten any snow or much ice where we are so I’m not sure. It’s a good amount of warm in the coop thanks to the radiator and though we let them free range they haven’t really wanted to or wanted to leave their (large)...

    We just noticed this nastiness on our poor Sages comb :( he’s acting like his usual spry self but although we’ve been raising birds for a little over a year they’ve all been happy and healthy so far so we’re new to the sickness in birds part. Him and the girls have their own big room in the barn...
