I change it twice a day, they get daily baths too. Last night I took them all one by one and sprayed with Veterycin. The ones that looked particularly bad, I made them tiny "shoes" with bacitracin on the sore spots.
So, Flock one is three hens and a rooster 1 year old. The second is 16 Hens 8 weeks old. The 8 week olds are just now going out. We built a bigger coop to house all 20. The 1 year olds haven't left their current coop yet. I was going to drag it into the same run and put up fencing between to start.
Hello I am Bethany. I have several Backyard birds. 20 chickens, 16 ducks, 9 turkey and 5 quail. My husband and I are learning things everyday and just trying to provide them with the best care.
We have a few ducklings thats feed almost look bruised! I have never seen this. It almost looks like an amonia burn but i am unsure how it could be. theyre bathed every night and have their bedding changed twice a day. No swelling or scabbing so i dont think its bumblefoot. They are all Pekin.
