Yeah, the sentence I am using 8 oz to a quart of slaked lime was erroneous. What I meant was, I used 1 oz of hydrated lime (pickling lime) to a quart of water. I used 8 total in 2 gallons... not per quart. Slaked lime is used in masonry and I do that as a career so it was a slip of the tongue...
