    Bumblefoot, callus or something else?

When one of our ducks was swimming in their pool I noticed this on her foot. Any idea if it’s Bumbkefoot, a Callus or something else entirely? She’s acting normal so no pain or anything unusual.

    Baldwin County, AL

Hello, I am trying to find some information re Baldwin County and backyard ducks and I just came across your post from 2018. Do you know if per ducks are allowed anywhere in Baldwin County? We’re looking at a property with a Daphne address but it’s outside of city limits. Any idea if we’d be...

We are contemplating a move to the Mobile, Spanish Fort or Daphne area. Does anyone know if any of these towns allow backyard ducks?

Thank you to everyone for all of the great info!❤️ I have talked to one city employee in Daphne, and then a Baldwin County employee, but from what I understand much of it has to do with the classification of a specific property. In looking at house listings I’m not seeing anything re...

    Wet Feather?

Nutri-Drench was also mentioned for both chickens & ducks as an alternative to the blackstrap molasses. If I understood correctly Nutri-Drench is a molasses-based vitamin supplement.

    Wet Feather?

Single digits last night & with wind chill it felt like negative 7 according to weather.com. It was close to 22 degrees when I had them out this morning. Thank you for the great tip re dog food. :) I read online that some recommend blackstrap molasses as a way to increase nutrients. Any...

    Wet Feather?

I’m afraid I’m not sure when her last molt was. We’ve had them since July so this is still so new to us. That’s a blessing to know it could just be from splashing her water around which is definitely something she loves to do on a regular basis. She appeared to be shivering when she was outside...

    Wet Feather?

Yes, Sassy & Gilbert have a 10' x 10' enclosure. I took the pictures right after I let them out this morning for some free-range time.

    Wet Feather?

This precious girl has frost all over her but our drake has very little & only by his tail. Does she have wet feather, something else entirely or does this look normal?

Thank you so much. Your support means more than you will ever know. ❤️ Both of our vets here said the exact same thing about there having to be an underlying reason. I too believe our beloved pets go to Heaven & I have no doubt she’s there...healthy & well. ❤️ The only question I have at this...

Dr Speer never returned our vet’s calls nor her emails. She reached out to him repeatedly yesterday & again today. Mama has continued in her decline. I actually didn’t think she would survive last night. We took her to the clinic this morning and our vet called a few minutes ago and said it’s...
