Wow. Never thought of cancer. Thanks so much for all of the information and sharing your personal stories. Im silly i guess ill always be sad when i lose one of my chickens. Lots of great caring folks here at BYC. :)
Thank you all soo very very much. I am so heartbroken . I couldn't figure out what was wrong and we were too late to help her. This is our first time raising chickens and were learning as we go......we have suffered a lot of heartache.. ..I guess the hardest part is that I couldn't do anything...
Past week our bantam. 4 months old has been walking funny. Checked her feet no damage. Husband noticed she looked WET especially under one of her wings. everywhere else was fine. Today she was all lethargic and we found her on her death bed in teh coop, with what looked like a 'decaying black...
We introduced " Bernie" to our 3 month old Bantam and " Bernie" displayed dominant behaviors...pecking at bantam and jumping toward her which kinda makes us think its a rooster?
Thanks for the welcome! were planning on making a trip tomorrow to hopefully pick up a few more chicks, and get busy building a more permanent coop ! ;)
