that's super weird, maybe try finding another? our auction accepts like everybody. and yeah i understand that part about the boys. usually we just hatch, then keep them until the auction on the weekend (so up to a week of feeding) your hens sound adorable haha
Nevermind yall, things are getting worst. I seem to be having memory issues, speech issues, getting worst eyesight fast, having trouble with joints and weakness. New and worsening emotion and mental problems. Still got muscle spasms and back pain. Can't walk too long without my entire lower body...
haha, once you go free range, there's never going back. when we first started, we had 4 in a pretty large coop, but ever since we let them out they expected it every single morning. then they went to bed in the garage so we'd have to move them all (they weren't so friendly so ouch)
you could get bantams and quails. we have a rescued dove that lives in the "Little Coop" with our baby turkeys/ducklings/chicks and bantam hen just fine. we have a couple of quail eggs to hatch and hope that they can be friends when they grow up :)❤
wouldn't dare put big birds with small ones...
yo find an auction nearby!! we were never able to sell anything until someone told us about a animal auction that's about an hour away. about 3 weeks ago, i sold half the flock for $500 (but they take commission so I basically got $400) since our excess of adult birds are gone, i'm trying to...
that looks like foul pox. it can be really dangerous in young poults. all mine are dealing with it and are getting "helmets" of big scabs over their face. i suggest you rub triple antibiotic ointment on the scabs 2+ times a day. i just started today because i had gotten advice on how to treat...
I sent out a couple of emails, one to the ASPCA and one to the farm sanctuary. Hoping one can help! I have severe anxiety and cannot talk on calls and my mom refuses to call and report it because "it's better than having no home." So I'm trying desperately to email or message someone who can help
TSC is a load of crap. Their chicks gave mine coccidiosis and they all died. I tried to get Corid and nutri drench delivered and it said it would take 24 hours, and it still hasn't come (that was 2 weeks ago) We tried some natural remedies, hoping that the stuff would deliver soon. But it got to...
wow that recovery is amazing! thank you for sharing this it's really inspiring. do you know if there's antibiotics you can get online for them? i hope that my turkeys can recover like your awesome birdy did!
i'd say first separate them and the momma from the drakes. then try to introduce them, but if the drakes start being mean then keep them separated. my muscovy wouldn't take in any babies and just try to eat them, in fact she'd abuse her own. she was always kind of crazy tho (she was raised with...
i suggest metzer farms. their runners are the best. i'd suggest getting a live delivery however because the hatching eggs all end up being male (1 out of 9 were female lol, yikes) i was impressed by how straight some of them stand, like a perfect |
also don't go near them when they are on the nest or they'll be kinda cranky and run around screaming upset. dare go near the nest and she'll turn into a snake, hissing and bitey. pretty spooky when you see a angry momma duck. i'm just glad they wouldn't dare to chase me hahah cuz that is...
