    that's super weird, maybe try finding another? our auction accepts like everybody. and yeah i understand that part about the boys. usually we just hatch, then keep them until the auction on the weekend (so up to a week of feeding) your hens sound adorable haha

    haha, once you go free range, there's never going back. when we first started, we had 4 in a pretty large coop, but ever since we let them out they expected it every single morning. then they went to bed in the garage so we'd have to move them all (they weren't so friendly so ouch)

    you could get bantams and quails. we have a rescued dove that lives in the "Little Coop" with our baby turkeys/ducklings/chicks and bantam hen just fine. we have a couple of quail eggs to hatch and hope that they can be friends when they grow up :)❤ wouldn't dare put big birds with small ones...
