We bought 5 broad breasted 2 years ago. This year (last week in fact) we bought 5 Blue Slate turkeys. From the research I did I figured they were the best bird breed for us this time around. I am curious about if we have at least 1 Tom and 2 hens though. We loved turkeys before, we had 4 toms...
We have Toulouse (one African that showed up one day). I have been giving their eggs away but was thinking, why not just learn about incubating? One female is 8 and the other original female and male are 6. The rest are babies they hatched (high death rate at hatch under mom) Long story but...
I am interested in doing this next year (this year maybe if my geese lay more... test it all with goose eggs HA!). I have been looking at this incubator at our somewhat local TSC, but it doesn't say it will do turkey or geese eggs, are there special trays?
Thanks!
Hi, we are located in the Southern Puget Sound area of Washington State. We raise chickens, turkeys, and geese. I am excited to learn more about raising poultry, in all aspects.
Thank you!
