Ok wasn't sure if it was the norm to the breed they seem to squeeze through a tiny gap in the fence and climb the branches and sit on the top of the bush. They will get used to the dogs
They are free range. Kept them isolated for 21 days. It's more Only one of the hens still bullying rhem. The dogs aren't bothered by them but they leg it when they see the dogs
I have 2 new americuana x naked kneck in my flock. They spend most of their day hiding in my neighbours bush. I don't know if this is because they are scared of the dogs or if this is normal behaviour. They are still being bullied by a few of the other hens
Thankyou. It's more the flying at the kids. It really freaks them out and my 6 year old is petrified of the hens when they fly at him. So just wanted to try and stop this. He loves cuddling them when they are not flying at him
At what age is best to clip the wings. I've read alot about clipping early so they don't try and fly but when is too early and when is right I currently have a 12 week a 8 week a 4 week and a 2 week old chick.
We would like to rehome 4 ex battery hens. We currently have a 12 week hen a 8 week hen and 2 chicks. We have enough space for up to 10 hens fully grown. Any advice would be great
Thought so. I've been doing lots of research and thought I had 2 hens. I think my little maran is also female. Not sure on the other chicks but time will tell.
