Overall i think the Incuview incubator works great. I really like the large viewing window. The egg turner does roll the eggs on their side instead of tilting the eggs. It holds the temp great but the readout display on the unit does fluctuate. Although the temp fluctuated on the digital readout...

Just filled the reservoir through the vent hole in the top of the dome. It has a three stage reservoir. Small medium and large. As you fill the first reservoir (the smallest) you just add more and that spills over into the medium, add more to spill over into the third. Really easy to control...

Its really up to you but a few things i always have is a bottle of Tylan 50 (antibiotic), Sulmet (for Coccidiosis), I use Valbazen as chicken wormer, VetRx (kinda like Vicks vapor rub for chickens). Hopefully you would never need these things but they are some i always keep on hand just in case...

I rarely assist any chick in hatching. Maybe considered cruel by others but I only want the strong healthy chicks to pass genes on to future generations. They are making progress already on what appears to be the the small end though. I have several pullet eggs incubating and maybe that's the...

Just noticed something alarming! 3 of the 4 eggs that have pipped are at the wrong end of the egg. They are pipping from the pointy end. I am not sure if they will have room to zip through!!!!!

I buy my oxine at Revivalanimal.com since they sell other animal health supplies and medications. That way i just place one order for all the supplies i will need for awhile. Its $24.99 for gal. but it last a long time if you use it correctly.

Yea i normally don't have a problem but some of the eggs i got were very dirty and i tried a new washing method before incubating. washed all the eggs in Oxine and water solution. I normally never wash the eggs I'm going to incubate. I was just really concerned about having an egg explode. I'm...

Candled the eggs last night and culled two eggs that appeared to be not fertile or growing. Unfortunately when i cracked them open to view my findings one of the eggs had a growing baby chick inside, the other was infertile and not viable. The others seem to be growing and doing find just hate...

Day 14 will be tomorrow and I will re candle the eggs but so far everything is great. Put 13 in and so far have only had to cull 2 eggs.(both proved to be infertile). Original post was a typo with "15" eggs started with 13. I have 11 that are growing and veining out beautifully. so far the...
