Hi! I was given these baby Bantams. I’m not sure what breed they are. They came from tractor supply. Roughly 2 months old. The girl said they weren’t getting along with the other chickens. They seem to be doing well at my house thankfully! I was so nervous! Could someone help me with genders...
I know that it's not great for people to breathe in. I have been wearing a respirator when applying, but I didn't know it was harmful to my chickens and ducks!! Are you making up your own borax baits or buying the premade ones? Would the borax be harmful to the birds if they are eating the ants...
They are carpenter ants. They are overtaking the entire yard. It's so bad to the point they are climbing all over me and even biting me! I don't care that I have ants. I understand that they are part of nature just like any other bug. I just don't want to be attacked lol.

How can I get rid of an ant hill?? Since it has gotten warmer out I have noticed I have an ant hill forming. Its been progressively getting worse each day. The ants are near my chickens and ducks runs. I tried putting down DE. I waited for a nice warm day with no expectations of rain all week...
Thank you so much!! Someone else told me about the bullseye method! I will definitely pay attention to behavior and which ones he's mating with. I have a few different breeds of hens. They all lay different colored eggs and different sizes lol. I am very excited though. I even have my kids...
They weren't jerks. Just wasn't gentle. I don't think I had a good hen to roo ratio. I have since then added more girls to my flock. I'm hoping that the saddles will help my hens with feather loss when I reintroduce a roo to the girls. My one roo has super sharp spurs.
Hi everyone! I have had chickens for two years now. My girls are the best! My husband and I just recently started talking about hatching some of our own chicks this year. We currently have two roosters (separated of course!:)) We even found an incubator that we both like. I know some of the...
