Easter Eggers are such a fun breed! I’ve had nothing but good times with my pretty little hen. She lays an egg a day and they’re a pretty pale green. She’s also a pretty easy keeper & did pretty well this past winter. She’s got a pretty good temperament too & loves being babied
Earlier this month, I went to Rural King & purchased a few chicks and ducklings. Two of the chicks puzzled me. They were supposed to be Cinnamon Queens, however none of the pictures I’ve seen of CQ chicks look anything like them. I was also wondering what sex they might be as they were straight...
Last spring, I got an Easter Egger “pullet” from my local feed store. I’m posting because when I went to feed “her” today, “her” comb appeared ALOT larger & was bright red. Recently, it has been red, it just wasn’t large. “She” hasn’t started laying yet & is aggressive with anyone & everything...
The only one she hasn’t gone after is my big yellow Lab & I’m terrified that if she goes after him, he’ll kill her. & she’s not allowed in the house (most definitely not my rule lol) but she does love cuddles especially in the late evening & it sounds like she’s purring when she’s snuggled up to me
I’m the only person/ animal she doesn’t go after, the most aggressive she’s ever been with me is pecking at my piercings but they’re super shiny metal so I can understand why she does that.
I have an Easter Egger hen that keeps terrorizing my other pets. Every time one of the other pets I keep on my property gets within pecking distance of her cage (10x10x6 dog kennel that is tarped & insulated), she does everything she can to peck the hell out of them. So far, she’s got three...
She is puffing up, but only one sound she makes is different from the rest of the sounds she makes, it sounds a lot like a squeak. & she's an Easter Egger, the sign at the feed store said she was an Araucana but she had tail feathers.
I allow her to eat as she pleases, and the feed is available to her 24/7. What I meant is that I give her more than I usually do, her usual is about half of a medium McDonald's clear cup & I increased to a full clear cup. As for rodents/ predators, I don't think any are present at this time...
I have an EE hen that's 23-24 weeks old. She's on an 18% layer feed. This past week and a half she's been acting odd. She's been going into the pet taxi i have in her coop & laying there for long periods of time which makes me think she's going to lay. She's also been pulling feathers. Anytime i...
