Yep. I am limited to how many birds I can keep, and since I've had bad luck with losses on the last couple orders, I ordered extra chicks, expecting some to die in transit. They're all really healthy this time, so I let my kid pick her favorites and am looking to rehome the rest.
Edit to ad: I...
I ordered a some assortment chicks (Meyer Hatchery) that hatched this past weekend and now that I've got them identified, there are four I'd like to rehome.
I'm 90% sure of the breeds, but no guarantees.

As I understand it, from the way the ad is written, it is $10 per female There was one male (now gone) who was free. None of the birds were paired, as these are culls and not up to breeding standard, though whoever took the male could also have bought a female and chosen to pair them.
I had a brown striped chick that grew up to be black and white. It was an Easter Egger. Also, black and white chicks can grow up to be black chickens, or black and brown chickens. I think there is some correlation between chick color and adult plumage, but I don't think it's as clear cut as...
I'm looking for a female silver laced polish chick. Does anyone local breed them? Alternately, is anyone in the metro west making a Meyer's order for June fifteenth that I could add a couple of chicks to?
An update. My chicks are almost a month old now, and for the most part doing well. They move around so much, it's really hard to get pictures now.
My Black Australorp has toes that curl inwards instead of down, which means she has more trouble perching than the others, but it wasn't noticeable...
I know that there are both large and Bantam breeds of Polish; is it possible your Polish are from a breeder who was going for a small Bantam? I haven't heard of chickens being a species that can have their size affected by space the way fish can, though I'm not an expert.
Some better pictures of my new flock, taken at about five days old:
Black Copper Marans
Australorp
Buff Brahma Bantam -- this one doesn't hold her wings against her body well, but I'm hoping they won't stick out as much as she gets older.
Buff Silkie, tiny and feisty as anything.
White...
Thanks!
