Tombo(this chick) is one of my most social but they all avoid going towards me when I’m moving. Only if I’m still- it was probably a don’t smoosh me squat? These guys are brooder and incubator babies. I’ll try to get it on picture
I know pullets and submissive cockerels will squat early on but this is SUPER early on. This is Tombo, they’re not even a week old and they’re already squatting for me, like full on squat which they held… wings out and all. Do chicks normally do that this early on?
Also nope! Second breed is a purebreed and dark colored layer
His other breed is the bantam version of a standard breed yes. They also have feathered feet but no beards
She really is 🥰 she’s so sweet too
Thanks!
The breeder said he picked out the two he thought were most likely to be hens (and if he’s wrong he will trade me a hen for whichever ends up a rooster) but I have no idea what he’s checking for them
I feel like it’s a stupid question, but why are my deathlayer chicks such different shades? Yakul is dark red around the head and darker around the body while Teto is yellow around the head and has more white. They’re both goldens. What does the color difference mean?
Added pictures of their...
I’ll call them.
She got it bad, she had horrible breathing issues but my others got it in the eyes so maybe it’s like… delayed symptoms? It’s oddly enough looking somewhat better today. The saline is definitely sterile 😅 I’ve been using it for new piercings so my ear would be totally infected...
They had a respiratory infection about a month and a half ago but it cleared up with some treatment and I haven’t had any respiratory issues since, I don’t hear anything off from her breathing. She’s acting completely normal, If it wasn’t for her being my favorite I wouldn’t have noticed her eye...
I have Saline spray for my piercing, would that work?
I have never seen anything injectable so unless they have it behind the counter no :(
Antibiotics are banned from stores here, we can only get them through 100$+ vet prescriptions
I have been checking my flock for bugs every couple days (quite paranoid about that lol) but I haven’t checked her lately, I’ll check her when I go out tonight and I’ll get some of that tomorrow when I’m out!
