    Below Freezing Care

    We live at 8400 ft elevation so the nights are below freezing. We use a heat lamp in the coop to keep the chickens warm. Will the red light from the lamp disrupt the chickens’ normal sleeping cycle? Does anyone have a better heating solution?

    Correct Way to Feed Chickens

    Is it better to feed the chickens fresh feed from a storage bucket every day or is it okay to use a feeder? I have read many different opinions on this matter. I want to do what is best for the chickens.
