    Fishy smelling egg.

We have one polish that has been consistently laying fishy smelling eggs. I was suspicious of the first couple but when I knew the eggs were fresh and tried them they tasted fine. I eat them myself so they don't turn my little ones off of eggs. Every one I've had tasted just fine.

    BYC members in Massachusetts?

I'm in Westborough so only a couple towns away. I am also wondering how our girls' first winter will go. Third Time's a Charm

Hi All, My wife and I are on our third round of chickens after having 2 previous small flocks wiped out by a weasel. We are in the Boston area in the suburbs abutting swamp so we have lots of predators to worry about. Coyote, fox, weasel, fisher, racoon, skunk... This time around we are...

Sponsored Post Enjoy free range chicken without the worry of night time predators with the new Brinsea ChickSafe au

I've been trying to visualize the mechanism for the ChickSafe door opener. Looking at the Brinsea website and other images on the web doesn't show me how it connects to the door. The manual makes it sound like it is just a wire/string that the opener winds up to open and unwinds to close. Is...
