I just had a Coturnix Quail go broody and successfully hatch 4 of 5 eggs. She got an assist from mother nature as our weather has been 85 degrees with high humidity since the 1st of May when I left the eggs for her. I am new to raising birds but from what I have read this is not a common...- tkmac

My broody coturnix quail did it :D!!! She is now the proud mother of at least 3 chicks. The nest is in a basket in the corner of an aviary, Should I move her or fence it off ?? The other birds seem to be curious not harmful and did try to assist her during the incubation. I do have 2 males... -

I hope I haven't jinxed myself by reporting this but.... I have a Coturnix quail that has gone broody. I left her five eggs on the 1st and she is still sitting patiently. Yesterday she pushed out and hid one egg. Since it was cold I removed it and it was develping I guess she can tell... -

New addict here on my 2nd hatch I am soooo glad I only got a mini incubator and can only put in 12 quail eggs at a time. My first hatch just came out of the brooder and looks like 4 hens 6 roos not the ratio I was after but I have another 12 chances for more egg layers in lockdown. -
