    So, does a chicken lay more than 1 per day???

    I got two from one hen the other day. Had to be because I had 20 hens..got 21 eggs and I collect 3 times a day.

    Is there a place we can buy them at this late date? I would like 12 or so to butcher in about 12 weeks.

    MYY hens are pecking at the laid eggs

    Thanks! I will try gathering more frequently and throwing them some shells. Now, how can I get them to lay in their own nests? I might find 10 eggs in one nest and 11 empty nests.

    What time of day?

    I have found mine laying mostly between 9 am and noon. Since they are pecking at the eggs I have learned to gather around noon or 1 and that catches most of them but there are 2 o3 3 that lay earlier.

    People biting rooster...need advice

    They don't need oyster shell if you are feeding a balanced feed. I give grit because we feed some whole and cracked grains in their scratch feed (in addition to their free choice complete feed).

    I gather twice a day, morning and evening. If they lay in between times, I will find some eggs have been pecked. Should I just gather more often or do we have a more serious problemI can remedy?
