One of my hens layed and egg on May 7th which i cracked this morning. It appears to have an embryo attached. Is that possible since I only have 4 hens (no rooster). They have been laying since September and this is the 1st one I've seen like this.
I have 2 IB pullets (I think). I keep hearing different things about how to tell if they are male or female. I held them upside down and only 1 fights right off while the other takes a few minutes (after laying straight). I've also heard that the males are white with spotty brown (they changed a...
Hi,
I just got 2 Isa Browns and 2 Rhode Island Reds from TSC and all 4 are growing at this same rate! I thought it was way too fast because a year ago, I got 4 Buff Orpingtons and their rate of growth was slower than this! Your post help me so much! When I got them on April 15th, they were 2...

I am very happy to report that Rose is no longer limping! Lowering the roost will help that a great deal! Thank you
Thank you so much! You have no idea how worried I was, then excited when I saw she wasn't limping anymore! I still have her isolated but will put her back with the other 3 in the morning after I check her over. BTW: My other 3 ladies just move around Rose's temp cage and lay down beside her...
