    We are from middle TN as well and it's been so mild here this year. If you don't have a drafty coop I would think you should be ok. I'm still fairly new so others will probably know more but that's just my two cents. We have only had around 5 or 6 nights where it really dipped very far below...

    Scott the dimensions are 6'x2'6"x3' I'm new myself so I wouldnt be the best one to answer those questions. Jerryb that's a good idea haven't thought of that.

    Thanks for the compliments. Think I'm gonna try to hang the light from a chain from the ceiling and make it adjustable up and down or just keep various wattage heat lamp bulbs on hand to adjust the heat.

    Well finally got it pretty much done. Still have to hang my heat lamp and do some other small touch up things but the main construstion is complete. Let me know what you think or if I could improve on anything. Thanks. Our five year is ready for the fuzzy butts to go in it!!

    Are the chicks seperated by sex there or are they straight run? Like you said though Fred I'm sure they get mixed up there even if they start out that way.
